Universal Document Object Format
- It was a research paper submitted in IT seminar held in COMSATS
Institute of Information Technology Pakistan.
- All the common document formats can be converted into a universal
form which will make them
- Platform Independent
- Application Independent
- Text based
- The bsic aim of the paper was to make a universal document
template which have all the common attributes of the documents
types available i.e. .doc, .html, .ppt etc.
- To make it more flexible and transparent it will use the XML
Schema.
Microsoft PowerPoint XML Interchangeability
- This is my final semester thesis and project for BS-IT degree
- It was the first step towords the Universal Document Object
Format.
- A small utility was constructed to demonstrate the any document
can be transformed into predefined XML Schema which will make
it available to any Application or OS.
- Another advantage of this utility is that it can be deployed
in Google's cache system, where google stores PowerPoint presentation
text format which looses its formatting, using this utility
same formatted presentation can be sent to user's browser in
HTML format.
